Mini Koi Ponds
2016 - 2024
This series consists of miniature koi - hand sculpted from white, colored and transparent polymer clay, encased in transparent resin.
The ponds are often built within porcelain bowls with waterfall elements sculpted from polymer clay (such as textured bowls, vases.) Other decorations include hand sculpted lily pads and water lilies, miniscule dragonflies and carefully painted red eared slider turtles.
Mixed media used in these pieces includes substrate, hand built rock structures and a variety of faux plants.

2018 - 2023
This series consists of miniature koi, hand sculpted from white, colored and transparent polymer clay, encased in small square transparent resin blocks. Usually decorated with substrate, rocks and a variety of faux plants.
Octopus Tea Cups
2017 - 2025
A series of numbered works where Sahasa combines vintage tea cups, silver-plated teaspoons and a diverse range of mixed materials with octopus sculptures.
Each challenging 360-degree composition celebrates the intricate, unique characteristics of various octopus species while also honoring the historical significance of traditional porcelain & tea in our daily lives.

Miniature Reef Blocks
2017 - 2019
These small works were inspired by the colorful lifeforms and textures as well as the dynamics between species on the reef. They prominently feature Black Tip Reef Sharks and several species of fish such as Yellow Tang, Blue Tang, different species of anemone fish.
Sahasa created Mini Reefs from colored and translucent polymer clay around a structure built from rocks, encased in resin.
